The website’s really easy to use, but in case you get stuck, the following guidelines should help. Your experience on MyTopTeacher.com can be broken down into the 3 steps illustrated on the homepage. However, before explaining these steps, we’ll touch on the Registration/Signing Up procedures:

Register as a Teacher/Institute

Step 1 (Teachers and Institutes)

Becoming a Member

The Registration procedure for teachers/institutes is extremely straightforward. Start by selecting the appropriate tab between standalone ‘teacher’ or an ‘institute’, and then proceed to fill in the ‘Name’, ‘Email’, ‘Area/City’, ‘Mobile Number’ and ‘Password’ fields. If you are a standalone teacher, also enter your ‘Gender’ and ‘Date of Birth’.

We’ll then check to see if you already exist in our database. If any of the teachers in the list suggested by us is you, hit “That’s Me”. You’ve already been added as a teacher by another user, and you can check more details by clicking on that teacher from the list. Once our team verifies your details, you will also be able to add your profile picture and other contact details so your audience can easily connect with you. Also, you’ll be able to edit the other details that the person who originally added you entered.

On submitting your information, our team will get in touch with you in the next 48 hours to verify your details. Your contact details will only show up on the website once your details have been verified.

Further, you must make sure that your comments and ratings are can be justified by you in your personal capacity, and that they are not defamatory towards teachers, but rather feedback that teachers can use to improve their teaching methods. To reiterate, your comments must focus on how a teacher teaches, and not her looks, personal attributes, or anything else that is uncontrollable. Our team will read through your comments and approve them before they are posted, but it is your responsibility to ensure your comments follow our guidelines.

Teacher’s Response to a Rating

We allow teachers to respond to individual ratings posted by students. As a teacher, you can visit your profile page and check all ratings posted by students. If you feel that a particular rating contains information that is not true, or you want to respond for any other reason, you can click on the ‘respond’ button below each rating and write a response.

Our team will read through the response before approving it to ensure that it relates to the original rating and that it does not contain any cuss words or offensive language. This is done to ensure that the website remains credible. An email notification will be sent to you to tell you when your response is approved.
